Waxing using strips to remove hair has been used since the 1930's.
I use warm roll on wax on legs and underarms which is quicker and cleaner. As the wax in the cartridge never touches the skin or is exposed to outside airborne bacteria there isn't the risk of contamination.
The wax is applied evenly and heated to the correct temperature avoiding the risk of burning. Pre wax and after wax products are used to firstly prepare the skin, avoid infection and cool the skin after providing moisturising properties to help the skin heal.

Hair needs to be 1/4 inch long to be successfully removed. As the hair grows at different rates it is normal to have hair growth within a couple of weeks to start with, this decreases as you have more regular treatments, 4 - 6 weeks is recommended.
After care is very important to prevent infection and will be explained to you after your treatment.
It is important that for 48 hours after waxing that you wear loose clothing, do not go swimming or exercise that will cause your skin to sweat.
Stay out of the sun and do not use any tanning products or a sun bed.
Do not use perfumed products as these can cause irritation.
Regular exfoliating or use of a body brush and moisturising before treatment is very beneficial especially if you have very dry skin, very curly hair or strong hair that is prone to ingrown hairs.
Redness of the skin is normal and varies in individuals. This is caused by a histamine response and can last for a few days.
Waxing after a spray or manual tanning treatment may cause the tan to appear patchy or streaky.
If you haven't had a wax treatment before a test area will need to be carried out prior to full treatment. A consultation will also be needed before treatment to ensure it is a safe treatment for you.
